Trump's Family Member Gets Expert Guidance from Tiger Woods Before LPGA First Appearance
The rising star maintains impressive online presence
Kai Trump can count on numerous high-profile backers as she begins her LPGA debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, was granted a sponsor's invitation to play at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, owns numerous courses worldwide and frequently plays against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we play competitive games," she revealed.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"He basically advised me to go out there and relax," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's simply a normal grandpa. He can't make it this weekend. He's busy with running the country, making him somewhat preoccupied."
While still amateur, Kai has played in a mere three competitions recently and holds the 461st position in AJGA listings.
However she can seek guidance from golf legend, in a relationship with Vanessa.
"He represents the best player globally," the young golfer said.
"Additionally, he's an even better person. He told me to compete, have fun, following the flow."
She'll challenge some of top competitors in professional golf at the Annika, featuring second-ranked Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that involving Kai exposes the sport to wider groups, especially with younger fans.
The young star boasts substantial online presence and recently launched her own apparel and wellness company.
Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
