'Enduring a Horrific Ordeal': Loved Ones of Unaccounted For Young People Await Answers After Alpine Inferno

The relatives of teens missing after a devastating inferno at a venue in a Switzerland's alpine town are enduring an painful wait for answers and requesting clues about their children online.

The fire devastated the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of New Year's Day. Confirmed images show the ceiling being engulfed in flames as beverages with sparklers are held aloft.

Officials have indicated that it could take days if not weeks to identify the those who perished of the fire, which resulted in the death of 40 people and wounded another over a hundred. Officials stated on the latest update that the majority of the those hurt have been accounted for, with work still underway to name the remaining few.

In the waiting period, relatives have been taking to online platforms to plead for clues about their loved ones who were in attendance that night.

Appeals for the Unaccounted For

The whereabouts of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, a teenager, are not yet determined, according to an appeal from his mother.

The who lives of Lutry near Lausanne, explained to a publication that she had returned to the city to check whether he was in the medical facility, while his father did the same in the capital, but was unsuccessful.

"This is a living nightmare, an ordeal. Either I find my son in the morgue, or I find him in critical condition. It's horrific," she stated.

She explained that some of his friends had been located with injuries covering a significant portion of their bodies. "There are no words; they experienced a terrifying ordeal."

The Italy's government has said that a number of of its citizens have not been located.

Young athlete Emanuele Galeppini, 16, was last heard from around midnight on New Year's Eve, his father said.

Included in that group is Emanuele Galeppini, a 16-year-old sportsman, originally from Genoa but now residing in Dubai.

The Italian Golf Federation has released a tribute that he is deceased, without directly referencing the fire, honoring a "talented young man who carried with him dedication and authentic values."

His parent, told media that his son was at the bar and was last in contact around the new year. An official spokesperson has clarified that a formal confirmation of his death is awaited.

Other Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, sixteen, is also among the missing. His parent told reporters that he had been on vacation but had ventured out with friends and found himself at the bar.

"A companion informed me they escaped after the fire erupted and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a certain point he lost sight of him," she explained, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.

One of his educators stated, "He was known for his good nature and smile, alongside great responsibility. Every time ask if help out."

Alice Kallergis, who holds dual Greek and Swiss citizenship but lives permanently in the country, was also at the bar on New Year's Eve, according to sources.

Her brother has posted an urgent request on social media, saying the family has had "no information" regarding the teenager or the three friends she was with, who are also reported missing.

Officials from her country of origin say they are closely watching the case.
