Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.

The author

Best-selling writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.

An official for the company stated: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the move was taken subsequent to an review of allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at female individuals.

The firm declined to specify the reasons for its decision, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."

A Highly Successful Publishing History

Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies internationally in dozens of tongues.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.

Some of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.

He has published over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.

Television and Literature

He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.

The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
